The C-CAT course and examination are held entirely online.
Individuals only taking the C-CAT course do not require to have completed the CMLE examination. Individuals wanting to take the C-CAT examination must have successfully passed the CMLE examination. For more information about the CMLE certification please click here.
The C-CAT course and examination is held on a platform called ProProfs. An individual taking the course will be emailed login information to access the course on the platform. The course is not available to be downloaded. Login information will be emailed the Friday before the course begins.
The C-CAT course consists of pre-recorded videos and PowerPoints. The individual will have the opportunity to go through the course at their own pace during the week of the course.
There are three live sessions over the course of the week. The Welcome Session introduces the team and introduction to the course. The Q&A Session which consists of a panel of experts to answer questions related to the course. The last one is the MB Workshop which consists of going through an example of a case study that relates to the MB stream.
None of the live sessions are mandatory to complete the C-CAT course. We do recommend attending as it will be very beneficial and an opportunity to learn from industry experts.
The exam will be proctored. Individuals taking the exam must join a Zoom call 30 minutes before so their ID can be checked. Individuals taking the exam must leave their video on and have their audio muted for the duration of the exam.
The examination will take 3 hours to complete. Individuals can request accommodation but must email it to certification@cmle.com the Thursday before the examination for review.
